Episode #48 "Situational Awareness" In Daily Life and SHTF.
Episode #48 "Situational Awareness"
Do you ever just watch people?
Maybe you see some of the same problems we have observed. People have their face in their phones and don't pay attention. We've seen them step into traffic, run into poles, and one even fell into a fountain, all because they were not paying attention.
Situational awareness can be broken down into three components, observation, comprehension, and projection. We explain each one, and how they fit together to help you make good decisions based on good information, and thereby keep your family and yourself safe.
In this episode, we discuss situational awareness in a number of scenarios. Here's a few we discuss: eating in restaurants, in parking lots, exiting businesses, malls, doctors offices, etc., and returning to your vehicle. We discuss getting gas, Using ATMs, returning home, how to tell and what to do if you are being followed.
Situational awareness principles apply to daily life as well as SHTF situations.
Keep your head on a swivel, stay aware of your situation, and make good decisions based on good information.
