Episode #51
We first recognize some of the countries in our international audience. We ask that those in our international audience send us an email in reference to prepping in their country, as we would like to explore preparedness around the globe.
The topic of this episode is:
"What the Bible says about Prepping."
First, we see being prepared IS taught in the Bible.
We explore the example of Joseph in Genesis 41, as he is appointed by Pharaoh to prepare the land in seven years of abundance for the coming seven years of famine. God gifted Joseph with the ability and courage to interpret Pharaoh's disturbing dreams which ultimately led to this national policy of preparedness and provision for Egypt and its neighbor countries.
We also discuss how the resourceful ant is referenced in Proverbs 6:6 as one who stores up in the summer for the winter.
Would you believe that Jesus believed in backups when it came to weapons? The passage is found in Luke 22. Lets examine that.
Second, prepping allows us to be able to bless others.
Joseph was able to aid other countries, his family, and ultimately the nation of Israel through the famine.
We believe the ultimate preparation is knowing Jesus Christ as your personal savior, but we respect everyone's rght to believe what they believe. We will not "force" our beliefs on anyone, but we do know that life with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ brings peace and freedom. May what we've shared today bless you and bring you even closer to God.
